94 LT1 carbed into 79 K10

i recently bought a 79 K10 reg cab short bed with 82k original miles, a new turbo 350, 12 bolt rear and dana 44 front.
the original 350 is a dog, and only has 165hp. i have a 94 LT1 sitting in my garage that i planned on rebuilding and throwing into my Z but instead i think i wanna convert it to carb and throw it in the truck with this manifold http://store.summitracing.com/partde...2&autoview=sku but am wondering what other parts im going to need. will the stock 79 carb and ignition work? or will i need to upgrade? since its reverse flow cooling, will i need a LT1 radiator? im just trying to price this out now so i dont hit any suprises when i go to do the swap. thanks.

You need the intake, the timing pointer(http://paceperformance.com/index.asp...&ProdID=22558), electric fuel pump, electric fan and your carb and ignition. A radiator is a radiator. You can use the original if it is in good condition. Any HEI distributor should work. The timing pointer I listed is for the 95-97 timing cover.

It plugs the hole left by the opti and provides a timing tab. Most people with a 92-94 usually put a freeze plug in the hole and rig up a pointer. The part number I was trying to list is 12367600. It is meant for a 95 and up.

An LT1 without it's injection is just a smallblock with limited head and cam selection. Sell the LT1 and start with a gen 1.

so hp/dollar, you think if i sold my LT1 for say $600 and used that money plus what i was going to use to instal it into the truck you think the 350 is a better way to go? i am not going for a crazy hp truck, but i would like to get somwhere around 400fwhp. i was thinking LE1 head/cam kit on the LT1 and drop that in there, but you think it would be cheaper to make that hp with the 350 reliably?
