I am looking at putting my 94 LT4 setup (engine & computer) into a 97 Z28 body, Is it possible to just drop the engine, the computer, and the harness into the 97 and everything work?

I have read other threads about OBDI to OBDII and know that OBDII uses a different knock module, a crank position sensor, and two more O2 sensors.

Will I be able to use the 94 wiring harness and not have to worry about any of those sensors?

What about the diagnostic port? Does a 97 have a different diagnostic port and if so Will I still be able to use my cable and laptop I used on my 94? If it has a different port, is there anything I can do to make my laptop and cable work?
