What parts are needed to upgrade from a 94 type coil to the 96-97 type coil. I know the 94 one has a 2 peice conn. and the 96-97 have a 1 peice conn. to the coil. I have a friend that i gave my old Accel 300+ ignition to and accel wants like $30 for a conversion wire for it to work with his style coil. However a new coil costs about the same, and since his coil has around 100K on it this seems like the logical place to start. Does he just need to buy the coil and then splice a new connector on it? If i'm not mistaken his coil connector has 4 wires and mine has only 3. Does 2 of these wires need to be put together? Thanks
