94 Cloth to 98 Leather

i found a good deal on a set of leather seats out of a 98 t/a. the only possible problem is that i have a 94 Z. the seats im getting are both adjustable ones, and right now i only have a power driver-side seat. im just curious if the connector on my z is going to fit the new seats correctly so ill have power. has anyone else done a swap like this? what else do i need if anything to get this swap done easy...? thanks for the help.

and are leather seats out of a ta better than leather seats out of a camaro?

The TA seats are nicer than Camaro seats. They provide better support, and look better. They will bolt right in. As for the connector... I dunno. I'd imagine it is the same but you never know.

I took my '94 Camaro seats out and replaced them with '98 Camaro seats and it plugged in just fine.

ya i got tired of riding around in normal torn up cloth seats that are covered with seat covers that dont match the back...

i think this will make my car look much much better, and make driving a whole lot more comfortable... atleast until the florida summer heat hits...

Just Carry a cloth in the back of hte seats for when ever you wear shorts, and you'll be just fine. What color seats did you end up getting?

I just did the conversion. 97 TA to 2001 TA seats. the plugs were not the same. It was a very easy switch though. My old seats only had a 2 prong power source the new seats had a 6 prong. This is what I did, Went and bought 2 sets of trailer wiring ( 6 prong)harnesses at napa $6.95 each, 1 10ft 4 wire loom $7 at Menards. Now I put 1 end of each harness on the seats and soldered them in. The other 2, I connected to each other by splitting the 4 wire loom in 1/2 and only using 6 wires. Then take every thing to the car and only connect the orange and the black wires ( on the seats) to the wires in the car already, ran an air tube for lumbar. So what I,m saying is for the drivers seat you only need 2 wires but the other 4 run from the drivers to the pass. seat for power. hope this helps if its like mine

No pics Sorry!!!! Menards is same as home depo But you can get the harness at a car parts store also. If the wire plugs are not the same I can give you a step by step of what I did. I'll give you my phone # and we can talk on the phone to give a little better description. If there not the same either e-mail me or post it up here ..

.... it was very easy and only took about 1- 2 hours total soldering gun is very cheap $10

Just got my seats in and came accros the the problem with the mis matching plugs. I might do the entire routing later, but if I just want to make the drivers side work, all I have to do is connect the 2 wires right??
