94 center console E brake boot???Help me out
I have a 94 M6 - took out the center console. The rubber boot around my E brake lever looks like crap - all wavey and coming out. Looks like it is connected on the bottom by plastic tabs that are melted fast to the underside of the console. If I take this out I will break the tabs, ruining any chances of connecting another one. Anyone deal with this, or put in a new one - or any other options I have to make this look better? Anyones ideas or part numbers are appreciated.
Thanks

Just had a thought. I could take off the rubber boot and get that stuff that looks like hair, it's black and kind of stiff. What's it called? Anyone know where I could get any of that. Just epoxy it on the underside of the console - at least to hide all the E brake guts. Just a thought?

I know that mine was hanging loose for a while, but I got it to stay up with some persistent fiddling.
Not sure if taking the conole apart would break any of the tabs, it doesn't seem like it should based on my recollection, but the M6 console may differ slightly from my A4.
You might just try a junkyard for a replacement for that part of the console, or just superglue the thing in place. Just an idea, probably a bad one. Good luck.
