94/95 MAC Headers / o2 Extenders?

94/95 MAC Headers / o2 Extenders?
Do you need them? I put on the passenger side headers today and I got the o2 wire to all but reach and click in. Do you need an o2 extender or should the wires just be able to reach and clip together?
