I've got a 95 1LE... be glad to help if you have any questions. In 1995, there were 106 made. The Police package is coded "B4C". They are typically gutted on the interior with no center console or radio or glove box. I don't have the run numbers for the B4Cs but I'm not sure if that info is intended to be readily available... since it is for law enforcement. I'm sure that somebody, somewhere, somehow has thoses numbers...

I know a guy that works at a Chevy dealership here and he told me that he could use a VIN from a 1LE or B4C camaro with an auto to reprogram my ECM.He said using the VIN he can download the PCM program from GM using a TECH 2 and upload it to my non 1LE car and the tuning on those cars was much better than mine.So guess if someone is willing to donate a VIN to help and tell me if anyone has ever done this and what was the result.

ummm, what?

ive never heard that the tuning was better in the 1le's anyway, and since you will-have/do-have mods past stock anyway its better to just have some1 with a clue program it right to match your car...

Well,it is a free mod and it can always be changed back.I have heard from many knowledgeable people that the tuning is different.Besides even if it does nothing what did I lose, nothing. So I am all for a free mod that may be a gain in HP.

I guess someone needs to find out if the programming is different. I have never heard this before. Engine-wise they were not really any different than a normal Z, so I don't know why the programming would be different. Maybe the fans were set lower to provide more cooling for extended idling with a B4C.

is there a way to tell if its a 1LE? my car has a suspicious past, bought in 1994 in NC and driven 55k miles in the first year and a half. went to michigan and got another 5k on it in a year and came to indiana with 62k miles and from 97-2 months ago it only went 5k miles. i bought it with 67k on it. its white, 6-speed and runs alot stronger than other LT1's, even SS's. oh and my fans do come on all the time, every time i stop i can hear them running. and they start about 5 seconds after i start my car.

In the glove box one of the RPO option codes will say 1LE

and in 95 if its a 1LE you wont have ttops, AC, power windows, power locks, fog lights, cruise control. if any of that is there, its not a 1LE in 95

edit:
and there is nothing different with the programming or fans or anything else like that (other than that my 1LE has a single fan in 94, dont know the specifics on when and where that came about). and your fans should not turn on until a certain temperature, so if they go on when the car first starts then something is up with that

In 95 they also added the oil cooler... I'm not sure if it was included in the 94.
