93z 383 datamaster needs deciphering
93z 383 datamaster needs deciphering
have a 93z with mods in sig.when the motor was first run it had bkr6e plugs.the motor was running extremely rich,oil was a 50/50 mix in the pan while soakin the plugs in about 10 min.would not stay runnin
changed to bkr5e plugs and they were really fouled but not wet any longer,also changed coolant temp sensor for the pcm.still dumped gas but not nearly as bad.
injectors are not leaking,pulled fuel rails and primed system and no fuel dripped from injector
180-185 on 7 cylinders 190 on 1 cylinder when doing a compression check after sitting overnight
here are the specs for the following data log:
went to ac 41-629 gapped at .35 still slightly black after 30 min run
stock fuel pump at 42 psi primed reads 38psi while idling.holds psi well and bleeds down slowly after running
new bosch o2 sensors replaced both today
open pipe exhaust has 3 foot strait pipe after header
engine is all new never left the garage,has all new parts such as opti,msd coils sensors.
original sensors yet to be replaced are map,iac,and tps
engine idles high and i can not get the idle lowered.the throttle blade stop screw is all the way out and not hitting the stop.
drilled two holes in the throttle blades 13/64 inch to get the thing to idle and the iac counts down they were 120 or better.
rotating the tps just raises the iac counts, idle rpm will not lower
