Re: 93 Z28

Whats "topend work"?? I'd say a good tune up then look into some LT headers and gears for the rear end.

Re: 93 Z28

What do you mean by top end work? And if it has a new aluminum flywheel, did they already install a new clutch along with it. If not, a stronger clutch is a good upgrade as well as headers, cutout, cold-air kit, PCM tune, some chassis/suspension upgrades such as subframe connectors, lower control arms, panhard rod, and shocks/struts, and roller rockers.

www.jegs.com, www.summitracing.com, www.thunderracing.com to name a few, or maybe even certain exhaust shops can hook you up.

Not hard to believe. They aren't as fast as one would think. I say get some long tube headers, cutout, gears, cold air intake if you don't already have it, and a good tune. Suspension work is definately something you should do... subframe connectors, torque arm, panhard rod, etc. Valvetrain work, too. Best advice, though, would be to learn as much as you can about the car and do a lot of research before buying things. What are your goals for the car?

Re: 93 Z28

Does it have a Cold Air Induction (CAI) yet? If not do that, get some headers, a cam , and a tune from Alvin at pcmforless.com. That will get you deep in the 12's if you can drive. Be careful with gearing in a 93 M6 car. They are a different breed...that have deeper gearing in the trans than the 94+ cars. This link will tell you a lot of the differences between the 93's and newer f-bods. http://www.speeddensity.org/showthread.php?t=32

no, that chip is junk...youll get much better and safer results from one of the tuners from here, pcm4less or madz

Stock is 180, get a 160 and a tune to have the fans come on at a lower temp. And as for a pretty much stock Lt1 hanging with a 05 GTO LS2.....I don't think so.
