93 vs. 94-95 AS&M headers

Anyone know what the differences are between the 93s and the 94-95s are? I have a set of AS&M's off of my 94 bird, and my bro may be getting a really good deal on a 93 z28. I'm curious if these headers will go on without problems. I will be deleting the emissions, and I have them modified with 3" collectors on them, and I'd probably have duals hooked up to them FYI. Thanks.

I believe the difference between 93 & 94 is the location of the air fittings on the right header. 93 is toward rear, 94 is in the front. Left side header fits either year.

if your deleting emissions go with the 93 headers, they look better and most companies sell 93 ones for cheaper, like 93 slps with y pipe you can get for 420 from tbryne.

Already have the 94's, so they're cheap, FREE!

He'll more than likely be putting duals on it anyways, so no need for a y-pipe either.

I had this problem.

93 and 94 driver side were the same, no problem there. However, on the passenger side resides the problematic differences. Differences as follows:

93's had the secondary A.I.R. Injection Pipe fitting located above the #8 primary.

94's had the secondary A.I.R. Injection Pipe fitting located above the #2 primary, and had an EGR riser valve fitting coming off the #8 primary. Very difficult to cap, and you have to find some way to interconnect the A.I.R. again.

I had this happed by a misrepresented set off of Ebay. I ended up just selling them and getting the correct set. It is possible, may require welding to cap the EGR fitting, but I'm sure you can come up with something.

I would be deleting the EGR and the AIR systems entirely. I know a guy that can just weld on a piece of sheet metal to cover the openings on the headers, and I'll be blocking off the EGR with block off plates. I'm mostly concerned with whether they will bolt up properly.

Yeah, they'll bolt up just fine then.
