can anyone tell me where the stock rev limiter is set on the '93 cars?

 

I know the 93's got the sweet m6 trans w/ the viper gear ratios.

 

To my knowledge, the '93 Z28 is limitless.... no rev limiter...

 

Oh there is DEFINITELY a rev limiter on 93 cars....A4 ones anyway...I believe its 5800rpm if my memory serves me correctly.....been a few years since I sold my 93

 

yes its an a4 car with 4.10's. also he wants to know if people with '93's and 700r4's shift manually or if there is something you adjust. its shifting way to early with the 4.10's.

 

Do not shift an automatic car manually. It's not good for the tranny and any gain you MAY see from doing it is negligable in comparrison to the effects it can have on your transmission....that and manually downshifting. If its shifting way too early then that sounds like something wrong with the programming....Might have to get a custom tune/chip burned....Although the 93 trannys (4L60) were not electronic like the later ones, they were hydraulically controlled.
