93 Fuel rails on LT4 problem
93 Fuel rails on LT4 problem
In the middle of a stroker build and was told that the lt4 manifold would be a direct bolt on to the 93 with no mods. The bolt spread for the fuel rails is wider on the lt1 manifold than the lt4.They will not bolt on no matter what i seem to do.The injectors (SVO's) are lifting out of the manifold if you try to force it due to the fact that the bolt pattern is narrower on the manifold. The back will definetly not fit because of the crossover pipes between the rails. Can anyone tell me what I nedd to do to fix this? How does this bolt up?
Re: 93 Fuel rails on LT4 problem
Whoever told you that the LT4 manifold would work with 93 fuel rails was mistaken.
Since the 94+ rails feed from the back, you are probably going to have to get some 94+ fuel feed pipes as well.

Re: 93 Fuel rails on LT4 problem
I've heard of people extending the rear x-over tubes to make the 93 rails work on the the lt4 intake. You might be able to do this cheaper than buying new rails and new fuel feed.
You might also ask around on http://www.speeddensity.org/ too. I made the same claim, that the stock 93 rails would not fit on the LT4 intake, and one of the guys over there said he had done it. He mentioned that they were not exactly lined-up straight, but since there was a lot of slack, due to the larger bolt holes in the 93 rails, he was able cant the rails in at the front and get them to fit. Sorry - Don't remeber the guys name, and the board has crashed since the posts were made.
The centerline on the bolt holes arent really that far off, so with the extra play it could be feasable. I take it that you do have the smaller bolts needed for the lt4 intake - correct???
