90K Miles with Original O2s.....

Got an SES light last week..turned out to be a "slow to warm up" O2 sensor. Had my shop clear the code, but it came back, so now decided to replace with a new O2. Took it to the shop today to replace the one sensor, then the guy asked when was the last time I changed all the O2s...I said...hmmm..when I signed the pink slip. That was only 90K miles ago.

Take this as advice...don't wait 90K to change them. Man, what a difference (4) new O2s make. Didn't realize how crappy the car was running until now. I just thought it was the headers or tranny mount causing all the vibration and sloppy idling was normal. With the new O2s..running like a champ again.

So...next time you're under you car...take a look at the O2 and look at it's condition. FYI....the passenger side front O2 requires you to remove the driver side down pipe to access it...bastard LT1s...as my installer calls them.

Bad news..these O2s were $99 (front) and $69 (rear) each.

Hey not to change the subject or anything but nice choice on the quantom tint. I have 19% on the front two windows of my Expedition (rears came with that goofy mirror tint) and I love it.

Then there is the fact that the rear O2's don't have any input on how well the motor runs.... I would say replace them with sims (I believe they are cheaper).

Mine have gone bad too at 92k. I think they're about $40 or so from Jason or Dal a piece. Could be wrong though.

Yeah, I just called Jason yesterday and ordered 2 front ones for like $86 shipped, and they're AC Delco.
