9 degrees of knock from t56, need to disable the knck sensor for a while

i have scaned my car and i am getting 9 dgrees of knock at 2200 to 2450 rpms. the tranny is noisey, i mean real noisey. i get zero knock at 5500 and only .3 at 6200 rpms. i only get the knock on the datamaster when the tranny starts making the loud noise. it needs the bearings and syncros. and i can get it rebuilt for 500, that parts also.

so now my question is how can i disable the knock sensor for a while without throwing a code without and reprogram isnt there a resistor you can put in if there is can someone give me a link or tell me how.

i search but didnt come up with anyhting.

thanks

Wouldn't an LT4 knock module help for that? Where can you get your t56 rebuilt for so cheap?

You can disable it with Tunercat or LT1 Edit if you have either one of those. You can also use a resistor or something but I don't know how to do it.

like said above you can program it out completely with tunercat or LT1 edit.

Oh, also, here's two links to do it the resistor way if you decide you'd rather do it like that.

It won't cost you anything. I thought you just needed the knock retard removed?

I can also look through your old program and see if I can improve it in any way. Did you do any modifications since last time?

so if i want to completly not use the knock sensor i would need to put a 3900 ohm resistor in the R1 position. is that right or am i reading it wrong.

Like I said, there wouldn't be a charge for reprogramming. I'm just trying to help, that's all.
If you want it reprogrammed, just email me with exactly what you need and I'll send you the files to upload it yourself.
