That is one sick ride.

I was about to reply and had to go back and watch the run again and again...etc. Its funny because if you restart the video right where you launch it, it looks so violent. At one point even the rear tires were hardly touching the pavement.

Man that car is one sick puppy...in a good way

Here are two more videos from that day. Taners first 9 sec pass and another 9.7 runing rich.

The car has 9.4 or 9.5 easily left. Give him a few weeks and he'll do it again. This was just his first time at the track on the juice for the year.

9.78 Video of Taner

9.93 Video of Taner

Sweet times, congrats.

Lets not forget george baxter though. Pretty sure it was 9 flat at over 150 in his ragtop '97SS M6. YS trim. That should make you feel good about that tranny holding up! Injuneer said he's moved to a th 400 now though.

George was runing a th400 and not a M6 when he ran that 9 flat. It was not on the transbrake and footbrake only. He now has different block in the car and should be in the 8's.

at you raceweight your shouldn't have ANY problems! but if you want to as i thought i mentioned above cryogenically freeze the major rotating stuff.

Mikael,
Daren is correct, he has an auto in the car. with a transbrake, 9 flat in a heavy convertible (not as heavy as Darens ride) but not a feather weight, as far as i know on the weight.

and i am an m6 guy all the way!

Being an M6 guy, I'll bet I watched that video about 20 times in a row to watch that launch. OMFG, I can believe that everything stayed glued together.

Nice run!

SABLT194,

it has taken almost 3 years but i have built a 6 speed car that is very strong, not only motor wise but all around. some people shoot it, some snort it, some drink but i like to gas it

alot of quality parts on the car, once i get the BMR Drag rear sway bar in then watch out! i look forward to cutting some even better 60's then!
