847 idle/rev video

here is a video of an lt1 with the gm847 cam in it..
its NOT my car, but on a local f body club i'm in...
i'll be honest, i just installed a very similar cam in my 357 and an a little disapointed with the idle..doesn't seem to lope as hard as i would have expected. the car in the video is untuned, and idling a bit high i think..
enjoy/discuss
going through some type of headers and borla

Re: 847 idle/rev video

The car was built by Redline Performance Motorsports which is me (Andy, and co-owner) and Chad (also co-owner, and the guy in the video doing the girly run away from the camera ). As far as the motor goes it is a stock shortblock with a 154,956 miles on it. Has stage one ported heads by us, with 2.0 1.56 valves. Pace setter longtubes and ory, and a borla catback. Should have the car tuned by early next week, and hopefully some track times by the following week. Will keep everyone posted with the info.

Re: 847 idle/rev video

to the first video, why does it rev so fast?

video #2, sounds like a huge cam instead of the 847.

Re: 847 idle/rev video

Doesn't really rev any faster than any other 847 I've done. I am running the same cam in my car with a 350 turbo, and it raps pretty much the same.
