I have a 93 Camaro Z28 with a 700R4 automatic transmission. A few weeks ago the transmission would not shift out of first gear. So I checked the transmission fluid and noticed it was a little low. I put some in and it ran fine for about a week. Now when i drive it will not shift out of first until around 3400 - 3600 RPM. And when it does finially shift it is very very hard even at very low speeds. Checked the transmission fluid and it is not low. I am not sure what could be causing it. Any help would be appreciated. mine did something similar. It would shift from first then to second then would it would shift into third it would rev up like it was in neutral. I ended up getting it rebuilt.

 

just mess around with your TV cable on your throttle body to change the shift points, mine did the same thing

 

Just don't mess with it to much or you will burn up your tranny
