700r4 in 94 ????
700r4 in 94 ????
What kinda problems am I gonna encounter???? I have a stall for my tranny(4l60e) but if I go with 700r I should be able to use that stall just the same right???
Is there any high stall issues with 700r??? Thats the reason I am doing this research if I end up with high stall issues out of the 4l60e I am gonna go that route instead of 350/400, for the simple fact of having to get another torque converter ( the one I have cost me $700 just don't wanna choke that up) for one of them....Tell me what you think /or know...Thanks

My hunch is the converter won't work. Also, the 700 is will require a manual valve body. Also, unless the 700 is "built" it will break. If you are going to go to all the hassle, get a TH400 and do it right.
My first 700 had two rebuilds on it and then blew up last fall doing a burnout (blew right through the floorboard). The only reason I have another 700 is that I needed to get my car home from Ohio and it was either $900.00 for a U-Haul and trailer or $1,200.00 for a tranny.

Specifications:
Full Race Clutches
Auto / Full Manual Valvebody

HD Wide Kevlar 24 Band
Billet 2 & 4 Servos
HD Reaction Sunshell
5 Gear Planitary
Do you think this will be enough to keep it together for a while ???? The guy said that it would have to have a manual lock up switch but it would work....
Pick up a 700 if you can, you will be much happier. The only downfall to the
700 is you will have to use a manual lockup switch and the auto shiftpoints
aren't as easy to taylor to your needs. However if your going to race it, it
will be a better deal for you
