What i'm doing to it is already in my sig. b/c it's in progress right now and was wondering if that's about right for the hotcam b/c i've read and most ppl drop off at about 6200 i think seems like
what would be about redline or how would you figure it out after doing this
also answer me this if possible does anyone know what compression i will be after the install and what it was stock, i thought stock was 10:1 but not sure
thanks

I think it's too high.. 6200 would probably be better.
I haven't seen a hotcam dyno sheet in a while, but I'm pretty sure it quits pulling well before 6500 rpm

6500 or 6600 is good. Ideally, you want to shift about 600 later than where peak power occurs for best track times. A couple hundred RPM more than that just assures that you won't accidentally hit the rev limiter.

oh sorry might not made myself very clear.......yes i'm going to shift alot sooner than 6500 i'd say but don't want to blow it if i miss which i hope to not do but stuff happens ya know. I appreciate it guys i thought that would be about right for the limiter
wonder what the redline will be in actual though? and what compression

What are you doing that may change the CR? The stock CR is 10.4:1. If you use thinner head gaskets and mill the heads, you can raise it to around 11:1, I think anyway. Hope this helps.
