60' times with pro kit, and no LCA brackets...

I installed the eibach pro kit with new takeoff shocks, and I do have the weld in lca relocation brackets for my boxed lcas but I did not install them. Anyway, long story short I can't run them on the rear now because I don't want to weld them on this stock rear that is going to break soon, and I'm saving for a 12 bolt. So, the question is, with a 1" lowered car and stock control arm geometry, how bad are my launches going to be, anyone have any numbers??? I'm shooting for a 2.0 60' with et streets, or is that to much to ask. If it is really going to be bad I might have to buy some bolt in brackets but they are around $100 AND they won't work on the strange if I get them. I'd rather save the $100 if I can if 2.0 60' won't be a problem. Thanks

Brian

All i can say is good luck getting sub 2.0 sixties. I couldn't do it. I had pro kit and bmr lca and the best I could do with nitto dr's was a 2.2

It wouldn't squat at all. I was trapping the 1/4 at 110 but was only running 13.0 due to the fact that the car wouldn't hook for ****...

The pro kit is not a good set up at all for track use.

The best I could muster from the pro-kit with LCA brackets on ET streets was a 1.83. And that was launching at 5200. Not the best set up for a drag car but it makes a nice standing street car

I would expect that a 2.0X 60 would be possible with out the brackets on ET Streets, but consistancy would suffer.

IMO, 2.0 60's on ET streets should be cake. My best on some 27" QTP's has been a 1.59. And that's w/ DMS lowering springs, and stock rear shocks. <- Well, LS1 take off's from SLP . It is in great need of relocation brackets though as the car never really does "hook". The rear of the car kinda bounces around a bit. I assume it's axle hop but it sure doesn't feel like it.

Here's a pic of my car. And as you can tell.... It's plenty low .

thanks for the feedback guys.

I finally got the car out today and got on it a bit with the new springs. All I can say is, I can tell the car doesn't want to hook like it used to but it isn't that bad, I'll live for now. And I hear you about the rear "hoppin", it kinda of wants to kick up if you know what I'm saying, thats prob why I need the brackets in there, .

But wow, the handling is amazing, especially with the 275's and 315's in the rear, that combined with the springs and suspension mods really makes the car handle, . Hmm, maybe I should do some autoX now..........

I don't know about the Eibachs but I have Hotchkis springs, stock LCA's and no relocation brackets and I pulled a 1.69 on a set of Nitto's.

Launching w/ a stalled A4 compared to a M6 car is totally different though.

Im lowered with the pro kit. 60' times in the sig. I really dont notice a big difference no matter where i set the LCA arm brackets (stock, or the two other adjustment holes).

I know that launching a 6 speed is totally different but I was just saying that I don't think the lowering springs effect the 60' very much, if any. Well at least it didn't effect mine.

I went and dug out my timeslips...........my best to date was on "Sonar" tires (with cords showing----lol i was just glad they held the run) that i can't even find exist with an A4 (2.73's) with total stock suspension the 60' time was 2.046......so i am sure with BFG drag radials 2.0 will be pretty easy.....but consistentcy takes practice.
This is with best of 13.955 in the 1/4 I really hope I can break into the 12's this year with a converter and suspension and some NItto's

so i am sure you can get 2.0 if not 1.999....lol
