52mm throttle body, TPS, and Shifting/tuning questions
I have an a4 and i just installed the bbk 52mm throttle body. shifted very early (low rpms/speed), so i have been adjusting the tps sensor back and forth ( i slotted it out to be able to adjust it. i've tried anywhere from .5 volts at idle to 1.0 volt, where the tps position actually reads 1%, and im not having great luck getting it to shift normal again). i adjusted the set screw for the idle up a little bit to stop the throttle body from sticking but then it was idling too high so i set it back a little.
question 1: where should i have the tps voltage at?
question 2: what tables should i be messing with to fix the TC and shift points so i can get my shifting back the way i want it? (i'm using tunercat

Re: 52mm throttle body, TPS, and Shifting/tuning questions
Did it shift poorly before you installed the BBK?
TPS voltage should be around .7 volts when closed and 5 volts when fully open. If you have these conditions for the TPS, then you should start looking elsewhere for your transmission troubles.

Re: 52mm throttle body, TPS, and Shifting/tuning questions
it shifted fine before i installed it. i know when you put a bigger throttle body on the a4 cars, it will make the TC and shifting come early. i just need to find out what tables to adjust to fix it. heres a few of the tables you can change...
TCC normal mode engage (and release) MPH vs. Gear Vs. %TPS
TCC WOT Forced Lock Speed Threshold vs. Gear
other tables associated with the tps are
shift time, line pressure offset, line pressure MOD
then of course there's the normal shift points up/down and shift thresholds and stuff
