I tried a friend's 58mm TB last yr. It seemed to have less throttle response than the 52mm. Which produces more hp? Dunno.

yeah.....I wouldn't go no more than a 52mm. I was told by Holley that the 52 would be more than enough for my set-up as well.

Hey Banester. I think you should drop down to a 40mm you backwards ****.

I'm gonna try anyway.

Just ordered all the parts to redo my bottom end a couple of weeks ago with everything getting balanced this week and am working of a set of new heads. As soon as eveything is together, I'll take the combo to the dyno and do final tuning. Once tuned, I'll borrow a 58 TB and see what happens.

I've learned to be conservative in my estimates but have made as much as 466 rwhp in the past with other combo's. I expect this one to be anywere between 425 rwhp to perhaps as high as 450+. Whatever..... ??

This TB thing with everyone guessing needs some real answers. Screw this theory stuff...... it where the rubber hits the road that counts.

I've owned a stock 48, 52, 58 and a monoblade and don't know if any of them made a tinkers damn of a difference. As mentioned, going to a 58 from a stock 48 on a car making 331 rwhp made no difference.

The 466 rwhp run was with a 58 mm TB. Went to the monoblade and ran into other problems throwing everything off or I've have an exact answer on that one.
