5 speed LT1 in '93????

Were there any '93's built with an LT1 and a 5-speed? I have never heard of it, but someone is saying that GM built a few, and that they drove one... Has anyone ever heard of this.

Never heard of that. I'm pretty certain 5 spds were all 6 cyl. in all 4th generations.

No 5 speed here, I have a 93. The only 4th gens that came with a 5 speed are the sixers.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 93 LT1's came with 2 versions of the six speed tranny. One which was mated to the 3.23 gear ratio option. The other (which I have) was mated to the 2.73 back axle.

LoL, I wouldn't trade mine for the world. I had a 97z28 before and never liked it half as much as my 93. Theres just something about them, ask other 93 owners they know what I'm talking about

I'm sure its possible, if GM were testing transmissions, that he got to drove one. Factory built and sold to the public, you have your answer here.

GM has made a lot of things, we don't know about.

Like the 94 Z28 with an LS1 in it for testing for instance....
