I wanna say its a different transmission somehow but I'm not positive. Try looking it up on a spec page.

definitely not. bellhousing is different. even if you did manage to modify it and make it fit, lt1 torque would tear it up sooner or later.

got that straight from the guys at hpsalvage.com when i was contemplating a v8 swap for my sixer. ditched the six and got an eight, too much trouble unless there's a free engine sitting somewhere. an a4 from an lt1 should be found for not too much money anyway, they're not really a hot item.
