My bro's, GF's 94 T/A blew it's 4L60E this afternoon.. the TA is mostly stock other then a, some bolt on's and programming..

cat back, 2800 stall tq converter, SLP cold air.. anyways, she is wanting to do more. But i am wonder (having a blown 700R myself) where we can buy a 4L60E that is budget frendly but not generic and junky..

I've seen some advertized in the for sale section a couple times.. usually a little beefed up. You could always get a local shop to do a rebuild but even then you're looking at anywhere from 400 to 1400 bucks. Thats usually what they will quote if they don't know whats wrong with it.
I dunno what they cost new. I guess anywhere from 1500 and up.
