440-450rwhp Possible with Setup Inside?

Im almost done putting my setup together and Im hoping for 440-450 rwhp and mid to low 11's et's. Think its possible with this?

-383 stroker (10.5:1 CR)
-AFR 190's Fully CnC'd (280/200@.600) 2.02/1.65
-LT4 Manifold
-ZZX cam 240/240 .595/.595 112
-Stock lifters, hardened pushrods, guideplates
-52mm BBK TB
-CSI WP
-30lb SVO
-March Under drive pulley
-Ac Delete
-Kook Stainless 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 headers,
-Borla Catback
-Custom Clutch Setup
-12 bolt (4.10's, fully upgraded)
-all suspension (Spohn, BMR,)
-no other weight reduction done to vehicle.

Tell me if Im forgetting something. Or any possible reccomendations. Thanks Guys!

I'd go more like a 11.5:1 motor and AFR 210 heads worked by Advanced Induction with a 58mm TB or a Monoblade. Then you'll blow 450rwhp out of the water

You have a bit more cam then me but your heads don't flow as well so I think you will be closer to 420-430 RWHP range with that set up with a good tune. You should be in to the mid 11's if you can get it to hook

Why a single profile cam? Maximize the investment and get a custom cam. Call Phil at AI for a grind.

Are those AFR's flow #'s, or did you get them flowed elsewhere? You might need better flow #'s and a custom cam to reach your goals.

Re: 440-450rwhp Possible with Setup Inside?

it's all in the tuning, man. im hopefully in the 430rwhp range right now just off ported stock heads, a similar cam and bolt-ons. that 52mm TB is no way to go with a stroker and some AFRs. I mean look at how much youve spent already. why choke up the intake over $100? do it right and do it once. im just confused by your setup. stock lifters? WHY!?!? your buildup is gonna cost at least $5,000 and require the motor being out of the car and youre going to reuse your stock lifters on a high lift camshaft with some major RPMs? you need to think out your setup a little more if you ask me.

Re: 440-450rwhp Possible with Setup Inside?

the thing is im not building this setup...Its already built! Its in my car as we speak. I am just trying to see if there is anything I should change before I get to the dyno for tuning. The heads were ported by TPiS, and they reccomended this camshaft for their heads. I have spoke to the few people that have it, and they love it from what I hear. I was just hoping for those numbers, but who knows now. I was going to squeeze a 150 shot on it as well, but being that the cam is not n20 friendly im rethinking that. As for the TB, do you guys think its limiting me that much? What should I get? 58mm? Monoblade? I had a BBK 58mm before this 52, and it had horrible throttle response. Not sure what caused this horrible throttle response, but I dont want to be choking the setup..Thanks Guys..All the advice the better!

P.S and about the lifters, there not reused, there nbrand new Stock's. Should I yank them out? and whats the reason for replacement? Im not a very experienced engine builder or anything, so please be patient. Thank You

I think you are on the right track. With your head/cam package you should be fine with the 52mm. Don't forget that the dyno is a great tool to tune with but thats abou it. I hve seen people that dynoed there car at 500 RWHP and run a 12xx and wounder what is going on. whats going on is a big dyno # doesn't mater ET is king. I have only gone 11.7@114 but had a bad exhaust leak on street tires so I believe with a good set of DR's I can get below 11.5

if youre set on the 383, check out some of lloyd's custom cam/head packages. with a stock ci 350, you can see 410-430rwhp with the LE3 package. tack on a 383 to simmer the setup down and you cant lose!

To piggyback, the LT1 is notoriously weak in the exhaust to intake flow ratio. A single patten cam won't be nearly as productive as a split pattern with 8* or so of split between the intake and exhaust. There's a reason that cams like the GM847 and CC306 work so well.

I would agree with you if he had stock ported heads, but he is running heads that flow 200 plus cfm on the exhaust side.

I almost ran the TPIS cam he is using but the price is what kept me away (375 plus shipping!!!). I talked with TPIS extensively about it and they said that the cam was matched to the heads flow, and that the opening point of the exhaust was set to enhance filling. They also said an LT1 with 1 3/4 LTs and a free flowing exhaust nullified the poor exhaust flow of the motor.

I like my 847, but I would like to try the TPIS cam in question sometime just for giggles.

So am I, and they're just stock ported heads. And I have a custom cam too, and it's STILL got an 8* split. I don't remember what the optimal number was (I want to say exhaust being around 80% of the intake) but with the numbers he mentioned it's definitely NOT it.

even a 6* split would assist the poor exhaust side.
