411rwhp/492ft-lbs on stock motor
well, we just had a guy that opened a dyno in town with a wideband 02.
so me and my friend decided to get our baslines and see how are cars were doing
i made 3 pulls. 1st was na- 267rwhp/310ft-lbs. then i sprayed the other two. the best on the spray was 411 and 492. i was quite impressed.
my mods are: pacesetter longtube headers, pacesseter y-pipe, magnaflow cat-back, zex dry(jetted for their 100 shot). i am using talyor wires and autolite 103's gapped @0.35. stock internals, stock heads, stock cam. motor has never been touched.
here's the link to my graph. just scroll down.

yes, it's an a4. compeletly race built 4l60e.
yes i know it's a killer 100 shot. i don't know why the nitrous gave that much, but that is zex's 100 shot jetting that they gave me.
my air/fuel ratio was perfect. not running to rich or lean. right where i wanted to be. which makes me relax more.
yes, i will be doing more. i am probably going to throw my lt4 hot cam at it. i just need to get rid of my stock 10-bolt and upgrade the suspension, so i can hook at the track. that's for the beginning. then i am building my other lt1 block up for forged pistions, and heads/cam.

actually it's quite a decent nitrous system. not good for big shots ex:200+
but the fmu goes off of bottle pressure. it regulates the amount of fuel, so u don't go to lean or rich. unlike other systems. it's a very smooth install and pretty efficient system. the system is activated by wot switch(which i like anyways)
my car pulls very very smoothly when na and when i am spray'n. even the owner of the shop said that my car pulled very smoothly on the dyno.
i love the system. but in the future for big shots(eventually) this system can't do the job i want.

Yeah, that system works great on my Hot-cammed car. I have mine jetted for 125(the biggest jetting they publish) and it's as smooth as can be and pulls like a ****. SOTP feel tells me that I'm getting every bit of that 125 HP. I'll probably dyno the car in the next few months, and I'll let you all know how it goes. I'm guessing I'll be around ~325 HP on motor, and ~450 HP, ~500 ft-lbs. on the spray. By the way, I believe I'm using a .052 nitrous jet. Does anyone know what HP level this jet is usually used for.(Wet or dry kit should be the same).

im not trying to start anything, just saying that if a company advertises 100 shot, i want that thing to make 100 hp or close to it. What if your motor would have blown up because the extra 50 hp or something? JMHO

of course i don't want to break something, and that was the main intention for me going on the dyno anyways. i wanted to see air:fuel ratio, to see if i was too rich or lean. i am happy to be able to say neither. but if something does happen. i will just build something killer. it costs to go fast. even know i am slow still

That's definately something to think about, but I'm sure nitrous companies engineer these systems pretty well. Plus, a given size orifice will flow a certain amount of N2O, depending on bottle pressure of course. Maybe he had his bottle at 1500 PSi or something? At least the ZEX kit meters fuel in proportion to bottle pressure. On a wet system you would definately have the possibility of running lean if bottle pressure were too high. I've sprayed my car with bottle pressures between ~400-900 PSI with no problems. The power just tapers off as bottle pressure/temperature go down. ZEX is definately not the best out there, but it works well and seems relatively safe to me. I still use a window switch and timing retard because I don't want to miss a shift and destroy my new engine.

Re: 411rwhp/492ft-lbs on stock motor
You should maybe consider that your baseline could have been wrong mine was doing 290 rwhp on bolt ons(A4) and another 94 Z28 (A4) did 246 completely stock. Maybe you are doing close to 300rwhp n/a and you do have 100-110 rwhp from the kit.
ps:the first time i dynoed my car i did 251 rwhp and another 2 back to back runs i did 290 in the other 2. Maybe it has something to do with shift or the gear it was in but does 3 pulls where done in a matter of 5 minutes in all.

Re: 411rwhp/492ft-lbs on stock motor
i agree,i am thinking the setting is a 150 hp as well.to gain 144 hp is more like a 150 pill where as the 100hp pill would net 93-96 hp.....however dry shots seem to hit harder at first,my question here is was that peak hp then it dropped off rapidly or did it gradually settle down...i honestly feel by the #'s given they sent you a 150 pill.
