Well I got it to the track last night. first time up and I ran out of gear went 125 mph! Hit rev limiter pretty far before the traps too. I have it set at 6800 now. I was trying to launch it easy for its first night out which was difficult for the torque it has. My best 60 ft was a 1.70 and my best E.T. was 11.30, I ran race gas and only 31 degrees of timing. It pulls 100% strong to the 6800 rev limiter. Oil still looks good ! no water woohoo!
ive actually looked at those before and they look awesome IMO... no ridicule at all.. i was interested in them but didnt know how accurate they are... have u verified its accuracy with a mechanical FP gauge?
Gauge seems to work fine I havn't 100% verified it, but I did have a mechanical gauge on it and it read pretty equivalent but the two were not attached at the same time.

Thought I saw you there last night, remembered your car from the video. Too bad I didn't get to see you run.

Track prep sucked. I couldn't hook even leaving off idle. I had the fastest non-qualifying speed 119.39, was happy with that.

hopefully my taller hoosiers will give you a few more mph... then bump the rev limiter up... and maybe a little more timing

very nice. 125 is good for about a 10.9.

Get your 60' down, and haul the mail.
What gears do you have in it right now?

4.30s in a moser 12 bolt with a 26 inch street ET. The thing revs so fast and pulls so hard I hit the rev limiter in every gear at 6800. Hats off to you 9 and 10 sec 6 speed guys, thats doin some drivin' I've earned new respect!

maybe drop it down to a 3.73 or 3.90 gear, that should help you with your trap.

125 and hitting the limiter has a ways to go yet.

Personally, with that kind of power I think it would be a better choice to leave the 4.30s alone but put a 28" tire on it. More tire, better chance of hooking over the 26" tires, plus it the overall gearing would be approx the same as 3.90s w/26" tire.

Just my .02

I have seen a 396 LT1 make 740 hp naturally aspirated and not turn past 7500 rpm. How do you explain that?

David
Compression ratios for the 600 hp and 740 hp?
