400rwhp 350

I am hoping for 400 rwhp out of my setup so i have some good numbers to work with.. I currently have jet hot lt's and im leaning towards lloyd elliot porting my heads and getting a cam from him.. Would it be a good idea to bore the engine or is leaving it at 350 ci fine? How does the size of the bore affect my torque, hp, and rpm? And also is a 350 with his ported heads/cam capable of making 400rwhp reliably?

Increasing bore size allows more surface area for the intake charge
to exert pressure against.

More pounds per square inch equates to more torque multiplied
by the rods and crank.

The effect will be shifting the torque a couple of hundred RPM higher
up the band.

Since the volume increase, volumetric efficiency will be slightly less
until the pistons are moving at a decent rate. Going 0.030" over
isn't anything to worry about. The trade off in torque peak placement
is worth it.

As for the latter questions, unless the specs are given for the remainder
of the engine, it would be tough to speculate on how well the heads
will produce.

350 lt1 block, his stage 2 heads, le1 cam, ported intake manifold.. not sure what i would need with the throttle body size.. Ill try to find the specs on his heads and cam unless you know.

here's some info on the heads,
The heads are ported and machined for larger Ferrea 2.00/1.56 valves, Comp 987 dbl springs, TITANIUM 10 degree retainers, locks, locators, milling, cleaning and assembly.
These will flow about 270/190 with a 205 cc intake port.
i cant find any specs on his cams, but ill either go with the le1, or le2..

You should do a search in LT1 Tech as this has been covered countless times.
Transfering, thanks.
