400 rwhp

im looking for around 400 ponys to my rear wheels, whats a good setup to acomplish this feat with. I just want to do something to give it alittle more ballz until i have to money and the means to design my own forced air induction. Im just looking for the most cost efective way to get 400 hp without N02.

an le2 head cam package will get you there, it runs around 1700 i believe. My friend Chris put down 401 standard on a mail order tune on his 383 with ignition issues. With a good tune a 350 would pull 400 rwhp easily.

A head cam package can get you there but don't believe the price. I got the LE package for $1600 (stage 2 heads/ stage 1 cam). But this is just the start. You also need #30 injectors, 52mm TB, all gaskets, new chip tune, good lifters, pushrods, timing chain set, ect. I'll probly have close to $2,400 in my set-up (just top end, done right) and all free labor from myself.

thanks for the input guys. around 3000 sounds good, of course i still have to do up my exhaust and get a 12 bolt and a better clutch befor i attack the engine, but it wont be long.
