#4 intake push rod....

I am having a serious issue that I can not figure out. For some reason I keep bending #4 intake push rod.

I recently just rebuilt my top end and adjust the rocker arms like I have always done in the past. This time for some reason no matter what I do I end up bendng just #4 intake. I have gone threw at least 3 of them already.

Is there any advice that I maybe over looking? I talked with a few members of SNMA (local mustang club) and went ahead and replace the lifter eliminating that as the problem with the same result. I am at the point where I wish the car would just blow up already .

What brand of push rods are you using? If your using OEM, them fine some hardend push rods. Maybe the spring is broken which you cant see it, to cause your push rod to travel more.
