Pretty sure it's less in the 4L60E. Some of the 93s M6s (code M28 I believe) had a 3.36 first gear.

Here's what I could find:
1993 (M28) 3.36/ 2.07/ 1.35/ 1.00/ .80/ .62 (2.73/ GU2)
1993 (M29) 2.97/ 2.07/ 1.43/ 1.00/ .80/ .62 (3.23/ GU4)

1994 (MN6) 2.66/ 1.78/ 1.30/ 1.00/ .74/ .50 (3.42/GU6)
1995 and above are the same.

1993/94, etc.. (MXO) 3.06/ 1.63/ 1.00/ .70 (2.73/ GU3, 3.23/ GU5)

My valvetrain is NO WHERE close to stock either. Stock car you will be banging the rev limiter / floating valves with 4.56 in the 1/4 mile.

I am crossing the lines ~6400-6500.

Thanks for the help guys, but some gay stuff happened. The Z i was going to get just got sold to someone else. Devestated i am, lol, o well something good should pop up soon around my price range and i'll jump on it. But all the discussion was helpful, now i have an idea of what gear ratios to get when i start to mod my Z28 if they aren't already where i want them. Thanks guys.

Question

Got a question though guys, i can only afford around 6,000 to 6,500 bucks and i want a 6 speed. Is it worth it to get a Z if it has about 100,000 to 130,000 miles on it, like will they last pretty long before i have to do anything major like a rebuilt engine? I know the 3.8L's last longer than V8's mechanical wise, but i dunno what do you guys think, anything i find for my price will have those kinds of miles on it, is it worth it?

with a good stroker, the right chassis, susp setup, etc 4:56 gears in Moser Ford 9" axles are common. 28" - 30 ET Streets or drag slicks are needed to line out the ratios. 4:56 gears with 28" tires yield about 3,000 rpm @ 70mph on the hwy with a TH350.

Thanks for your opinion on the matter

The car hasnt had a true track day yet. Only had 4 runs on this combo, only 2 of which were on the same day. 2 passes on unheated Drag radials, 2 on ET streets with crappy track prep.

Last year was pulling 13.1s at 103.5 mph with the gears, 1.7 60s. Video Here Any other questions on launching with 4.33s, lowered car, and only LCA like that?

Anyways, i know the mph/ET sucks, but like i said, just havent had any real track time with it yet. The tune is getting dialed in on the dyno this saturday, then going for some 12.1-12.2s. Arent too many people doing that NA on stock heads and 6 speed, if any?

You should be able to get a lower mile one with that kind of money. With my car, i got VERY LUCKY. It is a 6spd t-top and its black and i picked it up for 5900 With only 68k on it

I stand corrected. Still a deep *** first gear ratio.

Untill you run lower than a 4.10 like me and atljar dont knock it. I pull 8.10's in a 8th with mine at about 90 mph. I think 4.56's an a 6500 shift point in 6 speeds are jus fine. As far as spinning goes if you have lil power it isnt gonna spin that much unless ur in rain or you just cant drive. The gear should pull the motor down allowing you to take off. Now when you get into horse power then you get into spinning wheels. All that said 4.56
