4.10's??

Just curious if anyone is running 4.10's in their M6's?
I was originally thinkin' 3.73's..

I pray that will help my crap times for my first time at the track..
I hook hard and bogg twice as hard, a launch at 4k almost stalled me out =(

plans for spring are Moser axles, 3.73, 4.10's, TB bypass, Vortec elbow, possibly some juice.

please any input on gear selection would be appreciated..

What are you using for tires? Street, DR's, or slicks? If your on street tires and you bog after a 4k launch i want to know what kind of tire your using! I can't hook worth **** when launching at 2k.

MANY people use 4.10s in their M6s, mostly with good results.

I have 4.10's and love em. Don't be afraid to go to 4.10's, they arent too radical at all, they are fun around town.

They accelerate well.....but i always have DR's on my car as well....im sure if i had street tires on the car it would spin like crazy....just hurts your gas mileage a little but it's only money!

I have 4.10's... If I could do it again I would go 3.73.. I dont think I could go on many trips or high speeds for along time, probably would hurt my motor.. An example::: 55MPH 6th gear at about 2000-2200 RPM.. Kinda sucks... I would go 3.73.. Not to mention that when you get into the top end your not goign to have much power unless you get a high end cam...

At 2000 rpm in 6th gear with 4.10's and stock tire height you should be going 74 mph. At 2200 it should be going 82 mph.
55 mph!!!

Did you reprogram the PCM for the 4.10's?

I personally think gears are a waste of money on a 10-bolt. You are gonna spend about $500 on a weaker setup then you already have.

But int he words of a great man:

"Do what ju gotta do man."
