I have had it in my stock 10 bolt for quite a while..... with a 4.10, 1.6 rockers, and a cat-back exhast, I was able to pull a 108 trap speed.... that's running with LS1's...... plus the "cool" factor that now you can always chirp 3rd and sometimes just plain break it loose. I've heard that 4.10 greatly improve the wear on your stock 10 bolt.... depends on your mod list I guess. I have just about everything that you can do to a stock block done on mine (heads, CAM, N2O etc.....) so we'll see how well it holds up for me.

I have used both 3.73 and 4.10 in an otherwise stock 10-bolt. The 4.10 is immensley fun to drive with but the 3.73 gives better gas mileage and a faster top speed. I preferred the 4.10 overall but it is a weaker gear and more prone to breaking under abuse.

Save your money and apply it to a 12-bolt with 4.10 gears.

With an M-6, I can't see going with 3.73s over the 4.10s. 4.10s make sense out of 6th and provide twice the torque increase that the 3.73s provide over 3.42s. JMHO

Eddie,

Where were you shifting at on the bottle? I am getting ready to install a NX wet kit and already have 4.10's in my 12 bolt. I plan on shifting at 6500 and am hoping I won't run out of gear.

The CC 306 cam is a pretty high RPM cam... I also have that cam, and I am planning on shifting at arould 6750 on the bottle.....

I am currently shifting at 6800 NA, but according to my dyno run there is no reason to shift above 6500. Maybe I will just have to run it up to 6800 on the juice to be able to live with the 4.10's.

From what I've read, the reason for shifting that high is because when you do shift, it puts you right in your sweet spot.
