I just pulled apart my motor (Dave W's old 396 solid roller) and found a trashed lifter and corresponding trashed cam lobe. I'm debating going back to a hydraulic roller setup. I've done some searching, read thru some threads and think that given what I want (reliability, non emissions, fun car) I should go with the hydraulic setup.
I'm going to give Comp and Crane a call and see what Tech recommends. Any real world comments on a good 396 setup?
BTW LT1 396, Canfield ported heads, Monoblade, M6, 4.10 gear Moser 12 bolt
