385ci Solid Roller Cam

I just got my assembled shortblock back from them machine shop and I decided a while back that I was going to go solid roller. So I pulled my Crane Hydrualic roller cam out and now I gotta get a solid roller cam cut. I was just curious if it would just be best to bring it back up to the machine shop and let me degree the new cam in because Ive never done it before. How do they know how many degrees to put it at?

the cam you get will come with a "cam card" that will have the specs you need. They can only be given by the manufacturer.

You can buy a degreeing kit ond do it yourself($150) or the machine shop can do it for you.

Not knowing your set up I would say something in the 240* range on a 112+4 or bigger. Just a guess.

summit ,powerhouse, comp cams make great degree kits that have videos and it is very easy to do. it is one of the easier black arts. most of the time you end up just lining the dots up
