Don't waste your money. My buddy bought that exact short block from them and it came back without all the core plugs and worst of all the CC306 cam was hitting the connecting rods. We couldn't even grind off the cap bolts because it was hitting the cam lobes dead in the middle. Its junk.

Frankly, when it comes to something like a performance engine build, I wouldn't trust anything that comes off of ebay. I would look for good, reputable names and buy from them, even if it entails spending a few extra bucks.

for $2000 you are spending $1250 in hard parts minimum, not including the block cost, that leaves $750 in machine work/balancing and assembly time - do you really think that they are doing a quality job for that much money?

I agree with above post.

Well they are in Nevada, wages are much cheaper there, and they have good feedback, but it only takes 1 person to tell me they got screwed ,and i wont buy it, i live in New Jersey, i cant go to Nevada to deal face to face with them, so they need to have a good reputation. Thanks for the input!

Well I got this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LT1-S...5342QQtcZphoto

His shop is in Houston Texas. Though I heard about him through a friend of mine and said he was good. I talked to the guy and told him what I wanted. He asked a whole bunch of questions like what applications I would be using like nitrous, what kind of heads, size of the heads, compression ratio. As stated above it is hard to trust what comes out of ebay but compare this guys engines to other found on ebay.

This is the rest of his chevy motors

Wow, a lot off nice parts and options as far as engines go. I wonder how he gets 410ci out of a LTx.

So you live in NJ and have longtubes and no emissions. Got a friend to inspect it for you I'd imagine Though I guess we got it a little better than California at least.

Maybe this motor isnt really a bad deal, i was trading emails with them today, and they say the motor just needs a small base circle cam. They also said that they will clearance the customers cam for a small additional fee! I replied back to them saying they should put that in there EBAY ad. Honesty is always the best policy, if they are up front with this stuff, nobody can fault them. But you just cant sell someone a motor for thousands of dollars, and say its on them to figure out how to get it to work. Everybody is not a machinist, but most people can do the assembly work themselves.

well I hope you don't intend on using nitrous to much

My recommendation, and I'm sure a lot of people will agree... get forged internals
