I'd go with something around a 2800-3200 for your 383, AND somewhere near a 2.2 str. 1.7 str is near stock i believe... You want that "hit" off the line dont you??

Also, go with what these guys say. Fuddle, Precision Industries Vigilante, or Yank will be your best bet for a quality converter.

Please, do what he says! I'd rather take a chance with a quality used converter, than the cheapies you are talking about.
