My friends 383 wont rev past 3000 RPM. It runs great up until then, but it feels like it is pulling timing after that, enough so that it wont go past 3000.

cam is .542/.567 with 112 lsa

heads are 2.00 /1.56

any help or questions would be appreciated

Does he have a clean fuel filter?, does he have a good fuel pump? is there a potato in the exhaust pipe?...lol

Seriosly if it runs fine , no missing below that then there is some type of restriction (be it timing , fuel ,etc) that is holding it back.
