Talking 383 price

what is a good price for a short block and a long block and also what is the best cam for a daily driver ,i am looking for about 370hp or less the car is a A4 and 3.42 gear i have a exhaus.syst.
i am looking for power about 2400-6000 if that can be done . o the heads are stock but they be port match . and what size inj. and will the stock fuel pump work?

You want 370hp? Howsabout a relatively aggressive, low duration cam & stock heads. Bit cheaper

I agree dont bother stroking it unless you want 400+RWHP
Stroker price with DIRT CHEAP parts is about 4000$. With parts good to about 550 HP its 6500$ and it goes up from there.
if you only want 370 that can easily be done with heads and a cam for 2000$ or less

why would you do a stroker if you only want 370hp. Just do heads, cam, and bolt-ons and you will exceed 370 for a hell of a lot cheaper.

You could still get there with bolt-ons and heads/cam. Remember, you have an a4. You dont want to spend a lot on a stroker because you will have to rebuild the tranny soon after.

Tony Bischoff did a buddies 383 shortblock (minus cam) for 1800 parts and labor. Hyperpnmatic (god i butchered that spelling) pistons, eagle crank and rods.

I had my motor built by board member and sponser SStrokerAce. My motor made the horsepower in my sig and is VERY streetable. I was a budget build also.

Email Bret with any questions you might have. There is a GP going on for stroker assemblies right now.

Can you do the LT1-->Lt4 swap...then later stroke it to 383???? of would you get the 383 and then do you head/cam/etc...
