383 is now running

My 383 is now running pretty well. It has some cam surge and I am just wondering how much is acceptable. My cam is 236/242-.555/.576. My car is pulling 10-11 inches at 1000rpm, should I have more than that with this setup? And how can I tell if my intake is leaking (internal leak)? thanks.

I pulled 6 inches of vacuum with mine, so be happy. That doesn't seem that bad for that big of a cam. mine was only slightly longer duration but was on a tight LSA.

I would think you would be seeing more vacume than that. The cam your running is ok but its not that big for a stroker.

I ran that cam in my stock bottom end for a while and with a good tune it had very little cam surge.
