383 LE3 Setup
Re: 383 LE3 Setup
Well, i'm just hoping that my motor can live long on the stock fuel pump. I can't afford a Racetronix one w/harness right away so the stocker will have to suffice... anyone think that is totally a wrong move? I don't race constantly but i'd like to tach a few gears out once the motor is broken in.
Victory 383 baby!! WooT!!
Just letting you guys know... so far (Motor comes back in 2 weeks hopefully). Nick has been nothing but a huge sport anwering all my dumb questions and getting me parts. If anyone wants their motors done...

Ask for Nick
Eric seems cool, but Nick is the man and likes Killswitch

FWIW, I have been running the stocker on mine (85k miles on it) for almost a year and 6000 miles now. It has seen 7000rpm probably 100 times and has never shown any signs of leaning out. Just test it a few times with a fuel pressure gage taped to the windshield, and if your pressure doesn't drop off, just have fun with it.
Re: 383 LE3 Setup
you wont see anywhere near your full potential with those 6300-6400 rpm shifts. my shift point is set at 6600 and I could probably wind it out to 7000 rpm. 7000 rpm is just cool... my buddies all made fun of me for having a low revving big V8... well it revs just as high as my buddies 3000GT lol. DONT BE AFRAID TO GET HER UP THERE!!!
assembled myself and it still costs and arm and a leg DUE TO ALL THE LITTLE STUFF

I will have a solid chunk of change into this intake setup. Just go by the age old rule: hp = dollars cubed

Any other guesses? :-)
Re: 383 LE3 Setup
Chris, I know you followed some of my threads a while back. Your set up is close to mine although I am running through a 12 bolt. I am putting down 430rwhp/417rwtq. and trapping 117mph.
