I had some vibration. I did not really pay attention to it. I am glad I caught this early too about 475miles. There was a little shimmy on the harmonic balancer that had me worried so that why i went looking. The caps are rear main and the 4th cap inline. There was no damage to the crank luckily. The machine shop says whenever I install a new clutch to have the whole assy rebalanced again.
next clutch install, pull it apart and rebalance?
or EVERY time you install a clutch?
Everytime you install a new clutch you need to have the flywheel and pressure plate rebalanced as a complete assy, Or in most cases just have the balance checked. The machine shop said most of the times the pressure plates are balanced from the manufacturer. I am probably going to run the motor for 1000 miles or so then check the bearings again. Its a expensive investment and I do not want to mess it up.
