I haven't put the car on a dyno yet because it keeps breaking things before I can get it there. The first week I had it running it ripped the u-joint and the driveshaft out of the rear end. Yesterday, after having put a new driveshaft in and fixing the rear end, it ripped the torque arm off of the rear end. For some reason I think I am putting out more than 380 tq just because I have never heard of anybody ripping a torque arm to shreds with anything less than 425-450.

Well your not gonna rip a TQ arm to shreds on street tires, if its gonna go it will go under any amount of HP. Something seems to be wrong in that area, maybe pinion angle way off or something of that nature. Seems weird it would do both of those things right after each other. Is this on street tires under easy driving, or slicks and raping the car?

This is on stock tires on the way back home from racing. I nailed it in second and immediately shifted to third because the tail section was getting too squirly. As soon as I hit the gas in third, I heard a metal on metal rattling noise. When I got out and checked what it was, the top of the torque arm had been ripped off of the rear end.

It is possible that the rear end was messed up, but I won't be able to find out until this weekend when I tear it apart.

Nope, stock 10 bolt. I know I know. It's going to break, hell, it could already be broken for all I know. I was hoping that it would last until summer, but its not looking like that is going to happen.

haha. I'm on a 10 bolt too so i don't go around telling people they will break, especially with street tires that will just spin anyways.

I only asked because I've seen first hand along with some other stories on here of problems with the mosers. They use 4 seperate bolts to attach the TArm instead of 2 studs, rods, whatever you would call the stock ones. The threads are loose and bolts will back out and let the TqArm get mangled. But thats all irrelevent to you if it's a 10 bolt.

Good luck

P.S. I think your setup depends a lot on the quality of the heads, but 380 wouldn't be out of the question.

What numbers could I expect if I put a turbo on this same setup. Just for grins and giggles, lets say the STS turbo setup w/ somewhere around 12-16 lbs of boost.

Hard to say but alot more. At that point Id lower the compression even more, probably to 8.5:1 or so.
