383 Eagle Crank

lets say oughta curiousity what would have to be done to put in the 383 eagle crank on the stock rods and pistons? would you have to clearance for the stock rod length? would an aftermarket dampner have to be used? i believe it would make the motor a 377ci ??? and ive heard that the ls1's use the longer stroke smaller bore method... (ive only heard. i havent researched this nor am i stating it as a fact) how would this smaller bore bigger stroke work on the lt1's?

Re: 383 Eagle Crank

Couldn't be done with the stock pistons as they would stick out of the block 0.135". Could be done with lower piston that has a compression hight of 1.45" instead of the stock 1.585". Yes the displacement will be 377.
