whats your CR at with those, i would think with that deep of a dish it would'nt be 10.95:1?
With the 6" rods my KB piston choices were either flat tops or 19 cc dished. The flat top pistons put my static compression above 11.5:1, while the 19cc dish piston gave me about 10.45:1.

I decided to go with the 19cc dished pistons, I had Phil (AI) deck the heads to 52 cc, had the machine shop deck the block with the pistons .006" in the hole and used .029" Impalla Head Gaskets. Final static compression 10.95:1, with a .035" quench.

I had to supply the cable and the program.Nobody has LT1edit, anywhere you go in the Phoenix area. Everyone and their mother has LS1edit, but not LT1edit.

Actually, Xtreme Motorsports has it, but their prices are sky high and the tuning is not that in depth.

So how much did you pick up over the PCMForLess tune?

I Really don't know the wheels were slipping on the first dyno run, and the engine was running lean accross all RPMs so they stopped the run before 5700 RPM. . The dyno plot on the first run was not accurate due to the wheel slipping. We bumped the AFR significantly on the second run which made decent power. The final run picked up 20-40 HP accross the RPM range over the second run. I think the link is working so you can see the difference between the second and final run.

Kevin,

I'm glad its together & running . Those #'s seem pretty decent through a full 3" exhaust & whatnot. I obviously haven't seen your a/f data yet, but losing that flowmaster catback for a set of 3" duals, 4" mufflex, open headers, etc. along with the fuel would probably put you in the 425-430rw SAE / 440-450rw STD range

Hope it runs well at the track!

-Phil

EDIT: Any idea what kind of timing you're running up top? Just curious

Kevin,

Can you post your Dynojet results with the AFR graph on the bottom. I saw in the notes that your 1st pull was 14.1 AFR at WOT. I would like to see the AFR of your final pull.

94Sleeper:

Just curious about the heads. I saw in your sig that they are AI ported heads. Are they LT1 heads or LT4 heads? And which port job did you go with? Thanks.

They're a regular fully ported set of LT1's.

WOW!! Are you saying you picked up 20-40HP from going
from a Mail Order tune to Dyno tune OR was there other stuff that you did before you went to the Dyno like add Headers, bigger TB, cam etc OR was it just in the tune alone that made that much of a difference?

Just curious.

The Wide band meter he had did not log the data to the dynojet. It was a hand held Motec meter. Can't associate the AFR with the Dyno plot, sorry.

This was just tuning over the course of a couple of hours. The 20-40 HP between the 2nd and 10th run was after reprogramming the PCM 4 times. It should be noted that the first run was very lean and we made some serious adjustments to the program between run 1 and 2. It is likely that I picked up at least 10 HP between run 1 and 2. It was definately worth getting it tuned on the Dyno.
