383 Dyno Numbers See Inside
378rwhp@6200rpm 383lb ft torque
Thats with a 700R4 and a 3200 stall converter (3% more drivetrain loss)
The dyno guys said with a T56 it would have been over 400rwhp.
I wouldn't worry too much about your dyno numbers if your MAP was unplugged. You should be easily over 350rwhp with proper tuning.

Thanks Fred I was looking for some input on the MAP sensor. I seemed to think that the car was running in open loop, and using some default timing maps to run on. Anyway I will try to get her on the dyno again, before to much longer. My original goal is to run 11's NA I think that is doable without new heads. there seems to be guys running stock heads (that have been worked) putting down 400+ rwhp. lets see what tuning will do.

Please post the numbers when you get the MAP issues taken care of.

i have a 97 z with a 355 forged interals 210/224 cam and stock heads that are ported and polished and i put down 403RWHP and 378RWTQ with stock exhaust manifolds. that was with a very safe tune.
i think there is alot of room for improvement.

I don't know why it's so dang expensive around here. Cheapest one I know of is SLP at $175 for three pulls.
It sucks, especially when you're trying to get a speed density car dialed in with mail in tunes.

my engine was built by More Performance out of Charlotte, NC. here are the specs on the engine:
- 355 CID
- stock LT1 heads that are ported and polished with 1.6 RR, double springs, titanium pushrods and titanium retainers
- custom gound cam 210/224 with a 510/550 lift and a 112 LSA
- 52mm TB
- steel crank, lunati race rods, 4.03/3.48/5.7/-5 flat top pistons, all fed mog coated bearings
- comp. ratio is 10.8:1
i also have all the usual bolts on's with a loudmouth and cats with stock manifolds
i have been really impressed with the motor.

I still call Bs
to 1slowlt1.
Let me get this straight your call name on here is 1slowlt1, but yet you have possibly the highest dyno i have ever seen on here with a very small cam and stock manifolds. Sorry, but without a dyno sheet and verification of mods, BS. unless your car was built on a day when EVERY GM plant employee recieved an extra week vacation and a 10000 bonus.
As to the 383 with cc306, get that bad boy tuned and eventually some GOOD heads and the sky is the limit.
