383......396
can you give examples as to what you are spending the extra cash on to support the increased cubes?
I swear that I posted this 15 minutes ago, but it never showed up???
Yes.
1.125CH, I believe.
Yes.
Somewhere between 6000-6100rpm, without losing a whole lot above there. More average power from 5000-7000 is the idea.
6150rpm, I believe.
Will do.

TQ first off, thanks for answering all my "follow up" questions.
One other thing puzzles me now, you say you're "tightening up" your lsa with the new cam, and if you meant by that, that you're going down to say a 108 or 107 lsa from 109, doesn't that usually raise the RPM at which peak power is made???
I know your overall goal is to raise your average power across the 5,000 to 7,000 RPM band but from all I've read and experienced "tightening up" (i.e. lowering) your lsa will raise the RPM at which you'll achieve peak power.

If that was the only variable changed, yes. Also note that I don't have a reliable dyno of the new setup yet so the peak locations are up in the air. All of the peak rpms with the new cam are simply theoretical at this point.
EDIT: I need to add that the peak rpm won't change much because of the choke of the LT1 intake port minumum cross sectional area, and the needed air for the 383. Search advanced tech on miniumum CSA for more info.

First of all Thanks! to all who have replied so far, (there really is a wealth of info here on LT1 stroker motors),
and, for Ray@NitroDaves and TQdrivenws6 I have a couple of "follow up" questions.
Ray I assume your first cam, the 222/228 was a hydralic roller and the later 246/254 was a solid roller???

the small cam was spec'd for a daily driver w/stump pulling TQ...the new cam is designed for a drag setup w/alot of NX on board
