383
383 for street use, 400+rwhp/rwtq but less than 450rwhp/rwtq. Not high RPM's, and will NEVER see any power adder. I want it reliable, no worrys. Is there a rotating assembly etc?? I would like a 6" rod, and for the cylinder heads I have strongly been considering Trickflows with some minor portwork. Seems every has said they are good for street duty on strokers. Cam will be somewhere the in the GM 847 area, maybe a custom cam from Joe O. I have looked through the summit catalog extensively, and can't seem to find just the right crankshaft/rods/pistons. What would be a good rotating assembly, and what needs to be done machine work wise? Please help!
Re: 383
I went with SCAT Forged 4340 Crank w/3.750 stroke, SCAT Pro-Line 4340 H-Beam 6'' rods, and SRP Forged pistons. You probably don't need all that if you are never going to spray but it's up to you. If you are on a budget then go Scat or eagle with I-beams, Hyper pistons and scat or eagle cast crank and you should be fine, just dont skimp on the rod, main or head bolts go with ARP
