3800 tci stall

hey guys...theres a 3800 tci stall converter for sale on ls1tech and i was wondering if you guys think that's too much stall for a weekend warrior that won't see the track much if at all. it would be going in a 97 ss with pacesetter headers and ory, slp 2otl, and 3:42 gears. i'm looking for a stall and he's only asking $125 and thought it might be a good deal. opinions more than welcome! thanks!

That stall is getting pretty high for a bolt-on car. That brand in particular doesn't have the greatest reputation either, I would keep looking personally.

I didn't think my TCI 3500 stall worked that well, to be honest.

I had a TCI and it was a piece of crap! the lock up will go out and grind. i would save for a better one like a Vigilante or yank orsimilar

yes my lockup went out after 3,000 miles and took out my built transmission. TCI replaced the clutch with a billet lockup clutch for $100. it should have came with the stall initially IMO.
